In an upcoming May 3 ballot measure, residents of the city of Reno will be put to the task of deciding whether or not their city will cease to be. In an ongoing series, The Azle News and Springtown Epigraph continue to cover how services and resources might change for area residents: including in law enforcement.
In the event that the measure passes, law enforcement within the former city limits would be handled primarily by the Parker County Sheriff’s office instead of both the sheriff’s office and the Reno Police Department.
Any city ordinances not covered under county law — for example: municipal firework bans, noise ordinances, etc.
