Woman killed, 4 injured in FM 51 crash

One woman was killed and four people were critically injured in a crash on Farm-To-Market Road 51 about 6 p.m. Friday, April 4.

According to information provided by the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2019 Buick Enclave, driven by Geneva Griffith, 70, of Granbury, was traveling southbound on FM 51 when it crossed over the center stripe and entered the northbound lane of travel. The Buick struck a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse carrying with four passengers from Brock; three were juveniles aged of 14 and younger. All four were transported to Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth.

Griffith was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred one-half mile south of Veal Station Road. The driver of the Chevrolet had not been identified as of a Texas DPS press release dated April 7.
