Animal Investigation and Response is assisting animal control officers with housing, feed and care of the seized roosters
Nine individuals were arrested Sunday, April 6 in northern Parker County, south of Springtown, as a result of an anonymous Crime Stoppers tip pertaining to an illegal cockfighting operation.
In a press release, Parker County Sheriff Russ Authier said as deputies arrived on the scene, about 40 individuals scattered and fled on foot into a wooded area.
