Springtown Mayor Greg Hood proclaimed the week of April 2-25 National Community Development Week in the city of Springtown.
“The week of April 21-25, 2025, has been designated as National Community Development Week by the National Community Development Association to celebrate the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program,” Hood said. “The CDBG program is celebrating 51 years of providing local governments with the resources required to meet the needs of communities around the nation.”
CDBG funds are used by thousands of entities throughout the nation to address their pressing needs and the CDBG program provides funding and flexibility to local communities to aid their efforts to make sure all residents are being served by quality and adequate infrastructure.
